Projectos Insulares S.A., founded by James D. Velkov in the early 60s, has been developing important construction and development on the island of Tenerife.

Among its different projects we find the two most ambitious ones:
- Guajara Urbanisation (Municipality of San Cristobal de La Laguna)
- Tabaiba Urbanisation (Municipality of El Rosario)

Both projects have allowed this company to consolidate in Tenerife's market, providing its customers all its experience in the sector.

Today, after almost 40 years of activity in the sector, its main activity focuses on asset management and sale of land and buildings.

In the early 60's Proyectos Insulares's founder was impressed by the landscapes and people he found in Tenerife. Therefore he decided after traveling through many countries around the world to stay and contribute in the urban development of the island.

He began his career with Guajara Urbanisation, located in the municipality of San Cristobal de La Laguna, with a sales office in Bajamar, during that time the main focus of tourist attraction on the island. Once finished with Guajara, he started with Tabaiba, named by himself "the work of my life". He finished with the construction of Tabaiba's main buildings and single-family houses and completed almost its entire road system.

In June 2010, on the occasion of the second anniversary of his death, was inaugurated at the entrance of Guajara by the Hon. Mayor of San Cristobal de La Laguna D. Fernando Clavijo Batlle and Hon. President of the Cabildo of Santa Cruz de Tenerife D. Ricardo Melchior Navarro, along with their family and friends, a commemorative bust for his years of work and effort, thus valuing his contribution to today's society.

Proyectos Isnulares is currently leaded by his son Konstantin Hinner Ivantchev and tries to adapt its activity to the present time, offering an efficient and transparent management, with the utmost rigor towards its clientele.

Tabaiba Urbanization gives, together with Radazul, the ideal output of the municipality of El Rosario to the sea.

Since the 70s, from an original idea to the beginning of the complex road system and construction of the first iconic buildings in the area, as for example the Oceania building, Tabaiba's coast with its beach and natural pool, has become a benchmark for local bathers and those who love the sea and water activities.

With the proximity of the marina of Radazul and the recently opened promenade between both urbanizations, there exists a huge variety of sports facilities, entertainment, cafes and restaurants.
